I'm Officially An Uncle! +Christmastime 2009!

My sister, Amanda, had her baby on December 23, 2009, at 7:18pm! She weighed 7lb. 8oz. and 21¾ inches long, and her name is Amity Lee Bendixen! As soon as we heard Amanda was in labor, most of our family to the Bendixens (my mom and sister wanted to be there for the birth). The rest of us stayed at the Bendixens, where we remained until Sunday!

On Wednesday afternoon, I went with Levi and the As to a music special they were to perform at a hospital. They did a fantastic job! Afterwards, we went back to the Bendixens and played an 8-person game of Monopoly. The game was really getting excited... when Mr. Bendixen came downstairs and gave us the news! We rushed over to the apartment to see little Amity!

What a great night that was. We stayed over there until late taking turns holding the baby! Afterwards, we played a game of Risk. I can't remember a lot of the next few days. It's kind of all a blur to me now, but I'll post some pictures of things I do remember. :)

We also went to Home Church on Sunday. It was, all in all, a fantastic weekend. I didn't have the camera for that time. This is not my any means an earth-shattering blog post, but it's all I'm in the mood to do. Nevertheless, thank God for the great weekend and for bringing little Amity safely into the world! Here's a fitting end to it all, which I'm sure you've heard before...

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;

It's Been Too Long Since...

...I ate a Klondike Bar. I should really stop cutting back. ;)



You probably thought that I was going to say, "Sorry for not posting!!! It's been too long!" or some other lame cliché. But that's the sort of thing only 14-year-olds do, and I'm much more mature now. Also, 15-year-olds can eat Reese's Klondike Bars. Oh how much 15 is better than 14!

My sister, Amanda, could deliver had baby any day now! She is due Christmas Eve, but it could be sooner! Praise God for a safe pregnancy thus far! We'll be going down to the Bendixens' house for a few days around Christmastime, so hopefully she'll have delivered by that time. Yay!

I'll finish by saying how great GOD truly is! Psalms 107:1: "O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever." His mercies are new every day and night. Psalms 31:19: "Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!" Well said, Holy Bible, well said. :D
