The Greatest Year of My Life... Is Over.

TODAY, AUGUST 18, IS MY 15TH BITHDAY!!! This has been, by far, the greatest year of my life. This post is composed with three sections: "10 Highlights of Age 14", "Graduation Photos!" and "The Bad News". We'll start with the good news. :D

10 Highlights of Age 14

10. The Green Band

Also known as "The Band That Changed the World", I wore this green band around my arm for several months. I had previously worn another band, but I replaced it with this one.

9. Skiing
Both ski trips (Caferfae and Boyne Mountain) were very memorable; but the only difference is Caberfae had good memories, whereas Boyne had mostly bad (except for driving home). :P

8. Christmas
Christmas was awesome. The Bendixens stayed at our house for four days, and it was topped off with Home Church! :D

7. Thanksgiving
This past year's Thanksgiving was incredible. We did so many things at the Bendixens. It was great!

6. Lake Huron
Probably the most memorable vacation of my life, we went with the Bendixens around early fall to Lake Huron. You read read about it here, but it was just so amazing. :D

5. The Camping Trip
What an awesome time the camping trip was. We stayed at the Coopers' for two nights, and had an incredible time!

4. The Prank
Oh where to begin. "The Prank" (originally titled "The Worst Prank of 2009" ;) was when most of my followers suddenly stopped following me! It was one of the worst days of my life, but you all had a great laugh (and I did eventually). :D

3. National Soul Winning Month (NaSoWiMo)
During July, I committed to God to go witnessing every day of the month (unless I absolutely couldn't). I also attempted to reach National Soul Winning Month's 100 Gospel-sharing conversations, but I feel short. I did go witnessing every day of the month (except for one day, in which I had the flu), but I ended up giving the Gospel to 40 people. I was also able to give tracts to more than 100 people and chat with them for a while, but didn't give them the full Gospel. I could tell so many stories of the people I met, but it was just awesome, and God used it greatly!

2. Uncle! Uncle!

Amanda is having a baby! S/he is due around Christmastime. For the record, it is going to be a girl, but I haven't picked the name out yet. :D

1. Jesus Christ

I was thinking about what my #1 thing would be. I considered most of the above, but Jesus is everything. He gave everything. He is so awesome, and NONE of the above would've happened if not for His Grace and power. Thank You, Lord, for the greatest year of my entire life!

Graduation Pictures!
Since I'm graduating from age 14, into age 15, I figured a brief re-cap of my life was in order. Here goes!

As a baby! (The guy to the left is, of course, Andrew. :P)

Amanda and I. :D

Such awesome times; I'm on the far left:

In the guy in the middle. :P

Playing on the tramp (I'm in the middle-ish again):

I had a good laugh at this one. That is me, swimming, at like 8. :D

Brushing my teeth (eek):

Andrew took this picture of me. Levi and I had a good laugh. :D

This picture is designed to lighten the horror of the previous photo. :P

The Bad News :(
As I said, this has been the best year of my life. But all good things have to come to an end. It is so much fun when people mis-guess my age. I've been asked 'if I'm done with college', 'if I have a wife and kids', and yesterday a lady asked 'if I was my younger sister's father'. :D I love replying by saying, "No, I'm only 14." I don't ever want to turn 15. What fun is saying, "No, I'm 15"?!? It's not fun. It's a waste of a good year. I refuse to grow up. :P

But this is the way God has made me, so I'd better learn to accept it. :) I would, however, like to say my favorite line one final time:

Oh, and there's one more thing I must do. Ya'll know that picture of me that I always use? Well, I've become as sick of it as the rest of you are. So... goodbye, Mr. Ugly Photo. :P

God bless, J.J. Biddinger

Awesome and hilarious pictures JJ! That one Andrew took beats all. Um. Last I looked your super ugly picture is still your profile picture on the blog and I'm getting like super annoyed with it. Maybe ditch it soon before I pull out the left half of my hair.

Happy late-ish birthday. Being 15 is awesome! Hahah. :]

I was blog-surfing and stumbled onto your blog. I can't even remember how I found yours. lol

BrittaH said...

Thanks. :D
I don't really feel any different after a birthday either.

BrittaH said...

Hahah, it is pretty long. :D And I think that every single picture in that post was taken with my camera. :D

So, are you homeschooled? What grade level are you at?

BrittaH said...

Oh, I see. Yeah, I started school at age 4 instead of 5. ;]

How many siblings do you have? I have 6. 3 sisters, 2 brothers. And then there's a 90% chance that lil peanut is a boy. We're planning on confirming that with an ultrasound. But, she's only 12 weeks along, so it'll be a little while.:]

LOL!! Oh JJ you’re still young! If anybody is old it's me!! :P
But anyways, have a good year and make more of those memorable highlights, of the year 2009 when JJ Biddinger was 15 years old!! :D
God bless you! In Christ, Rachel.

Oh, but I like that pic. Too bad.
Anyway, glad you had such an awesome year, and I pray that this year will be wonderful for you too, even more than this one!
And what a blessing to have been able to share gospel with so many people! It wasn't wasted, I know.

From the short time I've known you, I've come to realise you are an awesome and caring friend and such a blessing. I hope you continue to go on growing in God's love all your life. You don't know how much you've encouraged me to do the right decision sometimes. You know what we talked about Public School's influence...
Happy 15, brother!

Happy Birthday JJ! (Yes, I realize this is *really* late. Sorry, but it's taken me *forever* to catch up on my friends blogs) Anyways, your post made me smile and laugh. Especially about 'no, I'm only 14' BTW, 15 is a great age, you can get your permit ;) Or at least here in my home state you can :D And... I had one other comment.. Ah, yes, as to 'mr. ugly picture' I disagree, it's not a bad pic at all, so, that is my long, rambling comment, I should not read blogs when I'm tired. LOL
God bless (Hehe the 'word verification' is 'skista')

J.J.,
When are you going to post again?

In Christ,
Joshua :)

J.J. Biddinger said...

Josh, there's two main reasons I haven't posted lately. (1) I'm not into writing as much as used to be. (2) Nothing has happened! Literally, I've almost done nothing since my birthday. :)

But, I hope to post again soon. Thanks for reminding me!

God bless,
J.J.
