Also before communion, we anointed the baby Jonathan with oil. As you probably know, he has had bad problems lately, and many people have been praying for him. Praise God, he has been doing very much better! (Though he is still losing weight.) We'll see what God will do!

I was able to hold Jonathan for the first time ever. I loved it. :)
Now that he is gone, I am even more so glad I was able to hold him. He is no doubt in Heaven with our Savior, Jesus Christ, forever and ever rejoicing. Please pray for the family as not only are they grieving over their loss, but they must experience the stress of planning a funeral. His first birthday was going to be on Wednesday. They truly need prayer.

I've heard this story in many different places, and it's both encouraging and sad. It's sad for obvious reasons, now that Jonathan is with the Lord. It's encouraging, because I've seen this story in so many places, and so many people are responding with comfort. May God greatly bless the Wegner family!

Of course I will pray for them. It's sad to see a baby go but then, he is in Heaven with God!!
What happened to him, was he ill?
MoonShaw, I'm not entirely certain why he died. It's possible the Wegners know, but I'm guessing God just needed him in Heaven awful quickly. :D
Thank you all for the comments! The funeral is tomorrow, and Lord willing I will be going. I may write another post about this within the next few days.
