What Happened At Chuck E. Cheez-Its...

(Note: To those of you who incorrectly call Kroger, "Krojers", you probably know Chuck E. Cheez-Its as "Chuck E. Cheese's". :P)

For the last several weeks, Phyllissa has been planning on going to Chuck E. Cheez-Its (we created that name...) on her birthday, in which she turned 7-years-old. The night before, my Dad had called Jeriah about a leak problem in the chimney of our rental house. Jeriah then planned on coming to our house in the morning, to look at and possibly fix it.

We were planning to leave at 11:30 in the morning. But we were (as always) late, and still weren't even ready by noon. To our surprise, Barak and Amanda came with Jeriah at about 12:00! If we would have left on time, we would not even have been able to see them at all! It can be good to be late for everything. :P

After much waiting, we decided Jeriah would stay and work; and Barak and Amanda would come to Chuck E. Cheez-Its with us. By the time we left the house, it was already after 1pm. First, we had to stop at the rental house (which is only a few streets over), so Barak could look at the furnace there. By 1:15, we were finally on our way to Chuck E. Cheez-Its! Almost. We had to go back home because Jemima had forgot her purse. :)

While waiting for Jemima to come out with her purse, my Dad started to tell my Mom Andrew was home from work. So Mom went in, and came out telling us we would be waiting for him. This was like our umpteenth interruption, though I'm glad we all were able to go. Sometime after 1:30, we finally were on our way!

While we were there, we had our pictures taken by a machine. It only cost 25 cents (one token) to do it, so we took a lot. Here are my favorites.

Afterwards
On the way home, we drove by our old house (which I lived in all my early life). It seems soooo much smaller now. :) I took this picture in the fast-moving van of it:


We went through a sign that said "Road closed, Flood ahead." For a while, it seemed fine. But then we saw the flood in the road. We decided to go through it in our van. I took a video. ;)


We also went to Anna's family's new house (which they are planning on redoing). It was flooded everywhere, and very muddy:

We had planned on it being a short visit in the morning so Jeriah could fix a leak in the chimney (which, so far, he has done). But, it turned out being another whole day with the Bendixens, and they didn't leave until after midnight. It was all very fun, another phenomenal memory. And so, life goes on, awaiting what will happen next. :)
